i'm still having doubts in moles.. which really stops me from touching my redox at all cost.. tomorrow's the paper and i don't have any confidence in myself! especially for MOLES and REDOX which involves the moles part. its the application that really bothers me. i can grasp the concept and all. but whenever i read a question. i cant seem to put my finger on it. i just cant write out anything. : ( haish.

hmmm..okayy. had practical today. very2 fun :) i could complete the whole experminet. yayness! haha. i love doing practical actually cause it's very fun and we learn alot from it! : )
VA2 was do-able definitely.ahaha. i miss those times when i was doing titration in secondary school. and i miss my SPA! lol. i love the rush i felt doing it for o's! : ) haha. sadly, i dropped to combine. so yea,it was all a waste of time.i thought then. however, being in this school now, taking chemustry. now, i know that with the knowledge. it's much much easier! : ) combine practical is mostly the QA stuff... the salts, gases and all. the titration they gave was a more simple way which was not exactly a way to find the titre and all. haha. : )okayy... i gotta go! wheee! gotta do chem assignment!

mr tan, welcome to our class! : ) yeay! hahahaa. : )
looooking forward to clss: )

today we learnt abt:
istopic, isotonic and isoelectronic..
orbitals and subshells
there are 4 types or more orbitals mainly consisting s,p,d and f

will blog more later todayy.. grrr.. i have to sleep already.. its 1.36 am

heyy! : ) okayy. job aspiration ehh..

i want to be a teacher : )! haha. well. what the e-career thing suggested was me being an education officer, psychologist, and teacherrs! : ) ahaha.
well. i am actually going to interview mr zackry(spelling error?) lim for this. i think. : ) i'm aspired to take up teaching because i had been a tutor in secondary school. and i realised that i actually enjoy teaching. the best thing you get out of it is the satisfaction of sharing your knowledge. i remember going to tuition one day with my other friends. we were there to learn..: ) however, my tutor had alot on her hands. so she actually appointed me to help her out. i was scared that i could not perform up to her standard but fortunately, i did. her students understood what i taught and i actually learnt more of what i taught to them : ) haha.
ever since that day, my friedns turn to me when they need help in their chemistry and maths :).
now, my passion is to teach because i enjoy err.. teaching. duhh
my strength

haha. apparently if it's according to what we have learnt in MI. haha. i don't think i have any strength except for balancing equations. hahaha. well. if its according to our secondary school... acid bases salts, organic chem and speed of rxn. hahaha.. and2 also the experiments! : )

my weakness

my weakness is moles. has always been the calculation part. haha. hmm . it's not that i don't know the formulas... but it's just that i can't seem to apply any of the calculations when it comes to the questions given. : ( sadly. it was a good thing i drop to combine sci just before o levels because i definietly did better in combine calculations than pure. other than that, everything else is the same : )

i've learnt that before every experiment takes place, there are certain steps and measures that we have to take to ensure that the apparatus used are not contaminated with other solution. this is to ensure and satisfy the needs of the experiment in order for it to be accurate. : )

i've also recalled all the apparatus being used for the different types of experiments such as separation, titration.. etc...

To have attended the lesson on handling practial's just now after chemistry lesson , all the memories of sitting for SPA for o levels came back. the steps taken to prepare the titration method and also to complete the experiment was rather an okay task. : ) the most troublesome thing was when i overshot. my neutralised solution was suppose to turn pale pink bt it was slightly darker. however, i repeated the experiment twice and the answer was rather weird. though that occured, ms chan said that if there is a consistant value among the readings, it isn't my fault as both the results had only a difference of 0.1 cm3 : ) hurray!. the hardest part was the calculation because after months of not doing chemistry, i forgot how to calculate the question asked which was actually a frequent question given by during a titation experiment is being held.

In Binary Covalent Nomenclature Tutorial,
-i learnt that binary covalent compunds are pure substances that consist of two nonmetallic elements.
